This is another poem, for when I was feelings low...

The BattleField of Life:

The war of life, the fight of hope.
The outcome is different for all,
But the fight is still the same.
The seige that people call life,
Is the price we pay for happiness.

But is our happiness really worth it?
The fight lasts for all eternity...
But the happiness, is merely mortal.
Like us, it can be slain...and crushed.
Does happiness last, even after death?

And here I am, inept to the grueling war.
I am hurt by my allies...and beaten by my foes.
The price for happiness is pretty high.
As I lay helpless on the ground...
Waiting to be taken from this war.

But that is only a dream,
And not many dreams come true...

-----------

I hope you like this one!

Hey Alex!
I don't remember you showing me this one... BAH!!!
Anywho, you wrote this with great emotion...full of dispair and sorrow. I suppose life is a battlefield...except we can choose to win or not.
The last lines were quite effective.
A dark, yet subtle poem. Good work!

Ya had some nice thoughts in here. Though the last 2 lil lines by theirself I didn't much like...Then again I'm a bit odd. HaHa. As always, thanks for the read! Great write!

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.
