~*~ Angel Dust ~*~

As I lay her gently down to sleep,
I rest knowing she's protected from all harm,
Having now said her prayers to God,
More than her blankie now keeps her warm.

In evenings light, there is a warmth,
Which radiates from the Heavens above,
God’s angels protect our little children,
Insuring they are warmed with his love.

Each child has their own special, perfect being,
And on their head, a golden halo bright,
Framing a porcelain face of pure perfection,
Radiating such a warm and heavenly light.

They float in heaven on widespread wings
Each a sentry waiting to take flight,
Hovering in the clouds of heavens,
Ready to protect our children at night.

So celestial in a blessed, long floating robe,
Of the purest white, trimmed in heaven’s gold,
She patiently waits in God’s sanctuary old,
Until all the evening prayers are told.

Now, all safely tucked into their beds,
Are children of the world safe and sound?
Now is the perfect time to ward off harm,
So they spread their wings and fly earth-bound.

If any dark clouds of harm begin to gather,
An angel’s presence is there in that space,
Their heavenly wings surround and protect,
All of God’s children with his grace.

They safely hold each and every the child,
Warding off demons, with angelic care,
An angel places the fear of God in them,
Those dark creatures who dare to tread there.

Their angelic love reflects a shadow
On every small sleeping child’s form.
The come each and every night from heaven,
To keep God’s children free from harm.

So if you wonder if you have an angel,
In the morning, check the corner of your eye…
I bet some angel dust will be there,
So you’ll see that your angel dropped by.

~*~ For my little angel with love ~*~

~Angels guide us to become spiritual people.
For the pleasure of it, not for its moralism,
Because the spiritual life itself has a great deal
Of beauty and real satisfaction, even pleasure.
And this is what the soul needs.~

It flowed so beautiful... I bet there's a guardian angel pin sew'd on their pillow.

Life is to short to not appreciate all of nature's gifts. As I sit & ponder in awe - quietly.

I didn't expect to see you guys but I am glad you are here, as there is a child in all of us that needs a hug too!  I think I get more kick out of these than my granddaugther does, but I hope one day she will enjoy the book of these I am doing.  Thank you all for reading, and Irish Rose (I am having the second one in November...Yipee)

Rocking tender memories here.
This is so lovely, dear lady.
Of course it's got your Grammy heart written all over it.

Sharon...this was soooo precious!  An enchanting and embracing image of one of God's most special gifts ~*~ our children.
There is so much love and tenderness interwoven into each verse written from your heart...it found me wiping a tear (yes..I know that's hard to believe...me the Kleenex wimp!) lol
This was so very beautiful...and Casey said to tell you she loves the baby angels..
Hugs and smiles, dawn & casey

Marge: I wear my Grammie hat the best!  It is my silly hat where I get to act like a child again, and no one cares!  Thanks for playing in our sandbox!

Martha: You wimp!  Tell Casey, I am glad she liked the pictures (see the Pixie Dust one it has fairies!)

Saunni: I hope you do, there is nothing as precious, except maybe a mischievious little boy!

Sharon, this is just so sweet, this is one for my library.  You truly should publish a book of children's poetry

Take care,
Melissa~
