An open curtain and an ocean breeze,
Blowing from miles away,
But yet still filling me.
As the day slowly paces away,
The clouds take their decided place in the sky.
While children play,
Their echos and voices fill my living room.
Other people on other balconies,
Smoking their cigarettes,
Anticipating the night as much as I,
Saying goodbye to the day in solemn sky staring eagerness.
There is a tenderness with which the night relieves the day,
And there is a soft colored awe that I reward myself with,
When the touch of the breeze sweetly taints my falling spirit.
Cypress trees whisper their softness,
While the ever constant wind tousles the treetops,
Like grandfathers affectionately rubbing a youngster's head.
A lady on her balcony watering her plants,
Seems to watch my gaze,
And I wonder if she ponders the change as much as I do.
Matters not..
For the climate is moderately warm and cool,
And the breeze creeps in through an open door,
And trickles into my senses,
Warming my heart and my inspirations.
The night slowly overtakes the day,
And I feel my soul being soaked in awe,
As I transform into an exquisite mood of thankfulness.

TemptyOne~
I really liked this line of thought -

'There is a tenderness with which the night relieves the day'

Yes ... and we welcome it's coming.
The aura of the sunset plays gently on the shore of thought.
