Chalk on the sidewalk

Words of hope
Written in simple hand
Rainbow of colored letters
Trod upon by ants and cracks
Sprinkled with sand

Chalk on the sidewalk
Simple and profound
Hope
Disdain
Flowers
Permanent
Inscribed by innocence

Beautiful poems
Compositions
Absolute truth
Meaning of life
All in pinks and yellows

Black-Gray clouds
Dim out the sun
Drop by Drop
Our musing is done

SecretWhisper~
Loved the title ... loved the read.
I've shared my box of multi-colored chalk with school kids
to write their 'hearts' on the sidewalks !
Been known to chalk up one or two myself.

Thanks for this delightful reminisce.

Makes me long for the days of "Want to play hopscotch with me? Much simpler time.. kids had fewer toys but enjoyed life a lot better I think.
