What truth do gentle winds make
on evenings full of beguile,
the last seconds before the knock
and the phone is dropped.
None greater the silent clouds
that stood attentive to this scene
as a door was opened, a glance given
for the stranger though what stranger indeed.
Two beats of the heart came and went
as first appearences gave way to smiles
then the first touch, electric
hugs became our world apart.
A year ago, almost to the day
I felt the path of pleasent pain
I drove for days to see her face
and nothing would remain the same.
Though now she lives futher away
my heart can still feel her kiss
the way she slept within my arms
and the summer spent in Kelowna.

This poem spoke to my heart.

and the sun drips honey."

Michael, how beautiful.  Is it distance makes the heart grow fonder?  You do have some pretty romantic memories.  ME

I'm hanging on your every word
Even if you dont want to speak tonite
It's alright
I'm sitting outside heaven's door
listening to you breathe
