Disappearances…

The lonely heart of an illusionary soul
sequesters tenderness as the tides
draw back from the shoreline

with the sun drifting behind the clouds
your hand turns to sand in the palm of mine
spilling through my finger’s grasp

the caress of your voice, silent,
like sparrows in winter months
no longer solicits the sighs of my own

in the fading of spring’s full moon to crescent stage
the prairie’s nights have become dark
like the shadow on my heart…

Why the darkness?  Nicely crafted, but somber.

Live for love. Without love, you don't live.

I have lived this, it is a song of emotion that fits deep in my heart.
