The Game

Out of the bag
pulling out the club
with it’s soft grip
and long shaft
leading down
to the oversized head

Completely clearing mind
while addressing the ball
centered on the front
of the clubs face
ever so reaching
at arms length
with club fully extended

While slowly bring
the club back
keeping knees bent
and arms straight
reaching back

Then with all force
bringing the club
down to the ball
and with greatest impact
the ball releases
from the tee

In awe as the flight
down the fairway
knowing that all thoughts
were released in mind
except with the game

The game of Golf

Never played golf, but I can see from your poem that it could take all of your attention.  Very well said.  Joyce

Great job here Bernie! The slow detailed description of concentration reminded me of those quiet "golf commentators"---would read nicely aloud that way! Proud of ya!
