Splendor of You

Your beauty was captured in folds of a rose
Your strength in the tides of the sea
Your love in the night sky of twinkling bliss
In stars looking downward at me

Your breath is the breeze sweeping over the jasmine
Your eyes are the jewels I desire
Your kisses the touch of a butterfly wing
That kindles a hot glowing fire

As petals of tulips fold up in the dark
Your arms hold me into the night
Your spirit’s reflected in sun glimmering waters
And whispering words of delight

Look deep in my eyes at my love pure and true
And see what I see in the splendor of you

Liz,

If I told you how lovely I find this it would probably make you blush.  Perhaps I need to stick to painting.  Simply wonderful.
