Blind cat climbs tree
chasing after honeybees
sits there like a queen

feeling safe and sound
caught within a willowtree
down is far away

she turns her body
gliding careful down the tree
till she reaches ground

act of bravoury
not knowing what is beneath
could be a mad dog

she must have nine lives
all she has is ears and nose
she uses them well

Titia,

Splendid poem. Very reminiscent of
Haiku and other eastern poetry.
Lean, beautiful imagery. Great rhythm.
Hope to see more!!

I really like this! I wrote a Haiku about a willow, but it's only three lines and is so different than yours.

Thank you all for reading and your lovely words. Yes Kyra is a special cat. She does pur, but in four years, I never heard her say miauw, so she probably can't talk either.

Thanks again.
