I'll take the night, thanks
With its ever constant arms,
To wrap around me as I'm reaching.
I'll take the night, please
Where my dreams come alive,
And where my passion seems less shy.
I'll take the night alone though,
For I can bear no longer,
The insistent will of trying to believe.

still d-i-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d
I am bound by this, you see...to become Night's sole mistress, and I am jealous in my endeavours for his attention.

the night should not be faced alone. . . much better with someone. . .

excellent words. . .

So sad!
"I'll take the night alone though,
For I can bear no longer,
The insistent will of trying to believe."

Don't stop believing there is someone out there just for you.

Sven,
Sometimes the solace of the night speaks, and it is sometimes especially important that we be alone in that exchange. Thank you for reading.

Inot2B,
No worries. These words are just me trying to release clutter.   Thank you for telling me what you felt from it and for reading.

Oh, that last line stabbed right through my heart. I agree about the night. Strong writing.

to seek the night is to become one with the flow of the night breeze and the gentle southern night..I saw a lightning bug..you are not alone, my dear friend, to believe, is to only feel the breeze..with a gentle smile...You do strike deep, you know
