How can I keep track
in reading all those
lovely poems
when every minute
there are added
some more
I must take a course
in fastreading
and fastthinking
to answer all
that poetry
I so adore

How can I keep track
when I've a man,
dogs, cats, sheep
big garden, full job
who constantly
ask my attention
and visiting friends,
and gardenshows,
fishing, writing
poetry, rebuilding
this old house
I won't even mention

How can I keep track
when I haven't even visit
all the forums yet
and my telehonebill
will never ever more
be the same
it's two AM and
it doesn't bother me
'cause I found a solution
when people ask me WHY?
I'll just say dear friends
that you are to blame

how wonderful and you know, I have promised myself to no more than one a day, to give everyone a chance to be read, I hate to appear selfish!

   loved this.

It always pleases me to see that what always changes...still remains the same...

many of us have "gotcha" with this very type of poem...and I have always noticed...

the busier we are? The more we try to get here...to relax....read....share....

well done, Titia....

I ditto what Sunshine says, there is just never enough time that I need to visit here and read and relax.  Nodding and agreeing**

Poet deVine (don't know your real name) yes it sure is hard to stop, because now it's already 4 AM and I really must tuck myself under. Thank you.

Irish Rose, you may post all you want, I'll read them all. Must take on some sidework to pay my telephonebill then, but who cares.

Sunshine, thought so too, but it's a lot easier when you can blame someone else isn't it.

Gentle Spirit, you just crossed my reply. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

A picture has a thousand poets.  Or maybe that's a million.  We each can look at the same thing and come away with completely different thoughts.  I guess we will never be able to read them all.  It's the thought that counts.  And I think this poem which I happened to read was wonderful.  Roger TPP

Titia---So true!  A few months ago I quit my job, assuring all that I'd have another within a week.  But then I sat down here, started reading and responding 18 hours a day and couldn't seem to move away for the next month!
I had the most fun...would do it, again in a sec, if I could afford to.

Titia,

This was a very fun read.  I think we have all felt this way at one time or another.  So much poetry and so little time!!

Titia,

I enjoyed this much.  Yes, life does seem to get in the way, huh?  A good one here.

Enjoyable read.  It is difficult keeping up around here.  Now, all I can do is just pop in here and there....I know I miss alot.

Auguste had the problem right, life gets in the way of our pleasures sometimes.  However, I come and go as I please so I guess I am one of the lucky ones.  Very well done Titia, you got me!

Titia,

How true this is! When I first came here, I was unemployed and spent much time here. Now things have changed and I don't get to be here quite as much... I try though! Great poem

Indeed, as time is the one commodity we humans have, it is difficult to ration.

but, but, but how are you going to stay awake in the daytime for all the 'life' things?

When open 14 began yesterday, I vowed I wouldn't get behind, I'd read them all.  Then I was gone from home for 11 hours. EGADS! Someone let Erato's flood gates open!

Well VAS, I can do with very little sleep, only 5 to 6 hours a night and sometimes less.
Thank you for reading.

this is truly wonderful.
The time I've spent on here reading (and I read more than I reply) is excellent and inspirational.

Well, the nice thing is that they don't disappear ...
Just turning a few pages gets you 'caught up' in a heartbeat.  LOL !

Beats the heck out of the library or the bookstore !

There are some advantages... *G* I can read from home but can't post... so I've had to get VERY good at my job to carve out some reply time. *G* And I do visit the library often... even if it's only to browse while I wait my turn on a computer! LOL. Great job!
