Who could it be that's after me?
What is his name, what is this game?
To threaten just my mortal life
that would be no sacrifice.
But threatening my family
then that would be your demise.

What have I done to deserve this pain?
Where is shelter from the rain?
To cage a man is to drive him down.
I pray they'll get what's coming 'round.

God holds our fate within his hands.
Life and death--it's all a plan.
Protect the children of the righteous man.
when Satan comes--bodies turn to sand.

Welcome to Poetry Land LV..
nice to have you here with us.
I look forward to reading more of your interesting style of writing...
this was a cool first post...
cryptic and dark edged...with chilling imagery
and the title and last line is very cool
well done poet sir

We wish ourselves beautiful,
we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps
