where the sky and horizon meet

DAD

I sleep.
When I awake,
my eyes flutter open,
and there you stand.
Your head is slightly inclined,
as if to say, "what?
Thought you could sleep all morning?"

|_
   |_

I laugh.
You laugh as well,
and we share a joke together
and sigh with content.
Why was that so funny? We wonder.
Nobody else would understand the humour.

|_
   |_

I lean.
For the moment,
you are my pillow.
Resting in the soft sand,
we share a quiet moment in time.

|_
   |_

I climb.
The tree is high
but there you are beneath me,
ready to catch me if I slip and fall.

|_
   |_

I play.
You will win,
But the game is still fun.

|_
   |_

I smile.
I am someone special.

|_
   |_

I love - you.

James ~ thank you for the smile James

Keth ~ it still does not express all that he is but it was from my heart with love    I'm glad you enjoyed it!  Thank you for stopping by!
