Have I lived life before Once or twice, maybe more How can I know the things you feel Is it made up, or is it real Is it really collective thought Or from some experience brought Back to life by watching you And all the little things you do Does life happen only one time Or is it like an endless rhyme Never complete, never ending Always growing, always sending A soul out there to live anew Is this what happened to you Is this what happened to me I wish I could make you see The endless stream of eternity Maybe life is not so free Maybe we must pay a fee To live it over, you and me Until somehow we get it right This soul we're given in our life An endless search, or a quest Until we become our very best |
