Would You????? Would you be my friend to the very end; Would you give me a hug every now and then? Would you play in the snow and watch flowers grow Would you walk in the rain and whisper my name Would you build me a castle in the sand in the sun Would you try to catch me if I started to run Would you count the stars on a very dark night Would you sit with me in the moonlight Would you be honest and faithful and true In all the things you say and do Would you wade with me in the cool running stream Would you comfort me if I had a bad dream Would you pick me daisies and wildflowers too Would you smile if I stole a kiss from you Would you go for a picnic in the dark of the night Would you eat with me by just candlelight Would you take me to the circus just to see the clowns Would you ride with me on a merry-go-round When the leaves changed colors and the air was real cool Would you build me a fire and hold me close to you Would you dance with me to our favorite song Would you shell p'nuts for me 'til they were all gone Would you take me to a drive-in a movie to see Would you eat popcorn and not throw it at me Would you hold me close if I needed to cry Would you kiss the tears away from my eyes Would you forgive me and not raise your voice If every now and then I made a bad choice I guess by now the picture you see I need someone to let me be me Would you be my friend to the very end; Would you give me a hug every now and then?
