Deep in the heart

*With apologies to Lord Byron*

She walks in beauty, like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
and all that’s best of dark and bright
meet in her aspect and her eyes:

Those words forever remembered
seem to bring you to memory,
coalescing thoughts dismembered,
hidden in my mind’s armory.

Your beauty walks proudly in verse
carrying all who read aloft,
to higher plains, they shall traverse,
crossing on cumulus clouds’ waft.

Beauty lies within and without.
Of your beauty there is no doubt.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

I would think no apologies neccessary...certainly an enjoyable read for its images and flow

I don't know anything about sonnet-writing, but I know I loved the flow and content of this.  Beautifully done.

To whom does one apologize
when the eulogy brings such soft sighs?
