Sometimes I dream away
Sitting in this dark corner of my garden
Surrounded by the things I love
Special place it is to me

In the early hours of the day
Incredible silence, universe still sleeps
I wonder what life should have been
If other choices were made

Thinking of times gone by
Tender memories of children growing up
Tears shedded when I felt misarable
This place I call my own

A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess...

Titia
How easily I could relate to this as I too spend many hours in my garden and have written many poems about my love of nature. I thought this was beautiful..........Sue

It's so wonderful to have a place like that...I know the feeling!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

Ahhh, we should all have such a wonderful place to sit, to dream, to reminisce ... lovely sentiments Titia.

Hi Titia,

That bench in such pretty surroundings looks like the perfect place to sit and write.  We've all thought about the "what if's."  I'm glad to be where I am.  Thank you for this.  I enjoyed it much.

This is wonderful, and I too have such a place so I know how wonderful it is to "park" myself outside in the garden.  This was lovely.
