Midnight infects my sleep,
As with the familiar night,
I am awakened and teased.
It seems that a resting hand cannot hold me.
It seems as if sleep laughs at me,
With dreams reaching the rhythm,
Of an erratic mixture of lessons.
A train yard with crossing curving tracks,
And one small train car,
Trying to figure out which one,
Will keep the car from tipping.
A curve before the gate,
That simply must be taken,
In order to gain a smoother entry.
There is a second sister,
The second one dreamed of in two nights,
Younger and yet more confident than I,
In our endeavour that we must rid ourselves,
Of a heavy matress covered in plastic.
She lets go and I hesitate with an imploring uneasiness,
And yet it floats out to sea.
In the train yard by the sea,
Things are vague while two elder men,
Watch over our endeavour with great concern,
And also with great interest.
Seemingly, they want to help but hesitate.

*sigh* this was a dream. I'm sorry to have posted it here as it didn't make for the best poetry, but it had to be written down. Geesh..It has to be important. It woke me up at this hour!

The rest of the dream, I really can't remember well. It fades into thoughts of my Dad being around, brief pictures of a beach with strong wind driven waves coming ashore, a restaurant in the distance, Dad and I resigning ourselves to make our way there to eat. The closer we get the further off the restaurant seems. A whole lot of other images forgotten since sleep has worn off.   Dream well everyone!

Ahhh, gentle maid, anything is important in this life we live, dreams especially. No sense has to be made, only to let them flow through the mind. It may continue, it may end, but it was there and caused you to write, so it served its purpose, eh?...gentle smile

I thought this dream made excellent poetry.
More dreams please.

Temptress~
'It seems as if sleep laughs at me'

Mine is giggling hysterically too !

Glad yours aroused you from slumber to write your thoughts.
