Underneath the earth
History lies encrusted
Inescapable
Injustice covered over
Layer after layer after layer

Applauds!!!!!!!!!  Marge, this is outstanding!  My favorite of yours to date.

Not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Oh Marge...the face is marvelous, looking back at us....

and I've been playing with the idea of a theme, along these lines, but still...different....

having read this, I know we are "talking" tonight....

so I shall work on it!

This...my friend...is marvelous!

Tovi~
Thank you very much.

KelliKay~
I appreciate the read.

Logan~
Indeed, will we ever unearth the truths,
or will we compound the layers with more lies of injustice ?
Thank you for understanding~

It is facinating to think, that we live on such history and changes...and frightening to think of the layers we are adding now.  Great poem!

Let the truth be spoken, and the shame will fall away in layers.  Excellent Marge.

Excellent! In a few words you convey the essence of the image and leave the reader to ponder their own layers..

MotherEarth~
Your ID matches this piece perfectly !
Much to be found in the layers, sweet lady.

Martie~
Each layer holds the past -
and we write another layer each day.
Yes ... it is a little frightening, isn't it ?
*Hugs*

Welcome to Passions.

Mysteria~
The truths are so deeply buried in the past.
One would wonder if they will ever be brought to light.
Thank you, hon.
