Something Beautiful

Something very beautiful passed through the morning air
It touched the bed, and swept across my pillow and my hair
It’s melody poured into depths and gladness of my ear
“I love you, my sweet darling” was the song I was to hear

Something truly wonderful glowed from the waking skies
It danced through leaves and window pane, and settled in my eyes
It was the light of morning reflected in your glance
That warmed my heart and filled me with the softness of romance

Something quite delightful met the dawn’s first gleam of sun
A kiss upon my lips told me that love had just begun
Your silent touch in filtered glow of morning would impart
That something very beautiful would happen to my heart

It's "perfection" and I mean that
