I cannot kiss you like before
I cannot let you through my door
I loved you so but no more
I met her today

I cannot let you touch my cheek
I can no longer let you speak
I no longer will be meek
I met her today

I met you and you lied to me
I believed the life you let me see
To think I thought you just a mystery
I met her today

You wined and dined me in romance
You made me sigh just from your glance
You convinced me to give you a chance
Well I met her today

You told me you were out of town
You said you soon would be around
Look at the deception I have found
I met her today

She called and said we should meet
She said she would admit defeat
Said she did not want to compete
I met her today

This beautiful woman who is your wife
She is the one who shares your life
I took it all in silent strife
I met her today

I told her to worry not about me
You I will no longer see
Home with her is where you should be
I met her today

So I cannot kiss you like before
I will not let you in my door
You made me feel like such a whore
I met her today

I hope she believes I did not know
She seemed to when I told her so
I cannot believe you are so low
I met her today

I hope she leaves you soon for good
She said she will, I know I would
And the reason is understood
I met her today.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...

When the "other woman" meets the wife the hounds hell break loose.
Well done.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

I really really really really enjoyed this.  I posted, just the other day, an untitled work that spoke of the lies and betrayal I was forced to confront.

I just loved how you expressed yourself in this piece

peace, love, happiness

The pain I have felt is material to the journal of my life
And I have scrawled many an erroneous line upon its yellowed pages

As always my most gracious thanks.  Pure fiction for me, but what a true tale for how many?

Powerful. Applause from me...would say more, but funny how the truth falls into place like that at times. Wonderful writing!
