You're unaware of the hurt that is within me
It stabs my heart a thousand times

You're disillusioned by the smile resting on my face
It looks so real and genuine

You are not knowing of the pain that lies inside of me
It twists me from inside to out

You are too quick to think that I am always happy
You don't know what I'm really about

Finally I have realized that you are not to blame
I keep my feelings hidden
because I am ashamed

It seems so many paint to apply the smile to face each morning. And too many live in makeup's smile. Wash away the facade you painted and look for what truly inspires a smile.
