Standing...staring at a world gone by knowing innocence must be lost, yet, still they question why, fools are never able to accept their fate and that's why so many times, love turns to hate, reclaiming annihilated cities they try to rebuild - though much of what they cling to has already been killed, going forward requires going alone...empty...afraid admitting in your heart of hearts - inner dragons must be slayed, darkness engulfs those few who travel far guided by mysterious light of one solitary star, eventually faith becomes despair realizing that it's every man for himself - friends don't truly care, yet, I say that the strongest souls continue to push on for, they are the only ones who ever see the dawn (c) Chelsea Mcbrie April 5, 2001 |

Your poem is so accurate of humanity. In the end, ultimately one can only count on themselves for all their needs. Nicely done. ~*~ I write, therefore I am ~*~ |

Message heard loud and clear, yet I romantic in the classical sense, announce we best chose better friends that darkened moonlight and shattered crystal be shared. "I am not now that which I have been." |
