Spring slowly begins to emerge
As the radiant sun parts the clouds
Replacing winter’s cold with her warmth
Which ignites the life within nature's true self
The world of leaves and flowers
Begin to awaken to bask in the glow

Soon the lawn will be a lush green
Like a soft carpet blanketing the earth
Fresh new leaves will emerge from bare branches
Spreading their limbs out over the ground
They will shimmer quietly in the breeze
As they soak up the awaited welcome heat

The rain and the sun together
Gently encourage newly formed buds
To open themselves up to the world
Exposing the most delicate blossoms
Which burst forth in passionate hues
That mirror those of a rainbow

It is an awesome sight to behold
This transformation that occurs
When one season melds into the next
Mother Earth gradually becomes rejuvenated
As spring breathes new life into her
Making winter’s tenure seem like only a memory

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I just have one question.
ITS JUST NOW SPRING THERE!!??
Seriously, its been weird here for weeks now, between warm and cool, but I think we're finally past cold. It might just stay warm, and its beautiful here. Duh Me! Who knew that living near the beach means constant wind. So, I'm rambling. Sorry.  You have a beautiful poem here. The changing during Spring is inspiring for sure.

Lone Wolf, between your words and mine, we have painted a very pretty picture.  Was it a hard, long winter where you are?  Winter is beautiful down here.  Thank you for the picture.  ME

And just in time. Great poem!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

I love spring, and this was a delicate beauty of a description! Let's all go plant something!   Gave me a touch of spring fever, LW!

I like the last line. . . and I like winter. . . but I've had enough this winter to last me at least 3 or 4!!

Excellent. . .

Interloper - Thank you.

Temptress - You have obviously never lived in Michigan!!  LOL.  It snowed here last Sunday, yet today the high was 55.  The weather changes constantly.  Winters are long and snow is always plentiful here in Lansing.  Spring is very warmly welcomed when it does arrive for good.  Thanks for reading.

M_E - Yes, we sure have.  I love the picture.  To me, winter is always too long!!  LOL.  I love the sunshine!!  You are welcome, and thank YOU.

walker - Thank you!

Mysteria - Let the rebirth begin.  Glad you liked it!!

Sunshine - We have a lot to look forward to, my friend.  Never forget that.

Kathleen - I know you do, but so do I!  Thank you, sweetheart.

serenity - I love spring too.  What would you like to plant?  I'm game!!  LOL.  Happy to share the fever with you!!

Sven - I know you are weird that way, actually liking snow and all!!  ICK!! LOL. I say bring on the flowers!!!  And no, I am not picking on you again!!
