There is this place
I sometimes go
When all around me
Seems unknown
I turn towards
The midnight sky
And instantly
I soar beyond
Passing clouds
And shooting stars
Atop a ridge
I rest awhile
Hearing echoes
In the distance
Trembling sighs
Are gently whispered
Then suddenly
I am reeled
Into a dream
Of endless feelings
Looking back
At yesterdays
When love I thought
Would always stay
Then casually
I shed a tear
Until that moment
I felt no fear
With blink of eye
I turned around
Soared back towards
These earthly grounds
Returning home
To face another day
Yet upon that ledge
Where I once laid
In blanket of snow
My heart remains...

No, your heart is here for us all to see.  And what a GOOD heart it is, too.

Please give us more.

WanderingGlider, it is the love for the one who had left her in the cold bitter dark of yesterdays that remains in blanket of snow atop ridge of fantasy... It's all about that one true love or so she thought and how she dealt with moving on, be it by momentary flashbacks of fantasy where she is reminded of the intense feelings she experienced, and upon reflecting back on yesterdays it seemed to have given her the inner strength to face beginnings of new todays
