desert flower looking for rain

Just Another Weed

Sometimes, it's
the rain, in
its infinite
beauty that
can also
kill the
softness, drown
the daisies
and make
you feel
the pain of
the thorns,
which were
never sliced
off before
your crimson
could soak into
the green
of the stem
and run, along
your soul...

when in the
rain, if you
find you no longer
carry the
umbrella of
love.. and the
shelter of
their heart is
no longer willing
to allow
you refuge
from the
spine numbing
pain of
admission
as it slices
through an ebon
sky, with
falling tears
that burn your
eyes ... as they
engrave
one more line
around the
corners of
your
mouth

just remember
that sometimes...
a rose is
simply just
....another weed

and though
you sit in this
garden of despair
and scream into
the night
"will I always be alone"
and the
soil starts to rise
around your knees,
your fingers dig and
dig
until .. bleeding tips
of agony claw
at the uncertain
edge, while
rocks and sand
fall down
around your crumpled
soul...
there will always
be ... green
and, you will
rise

"...I am a river in winter, quiet in the eyes of most butdeep, swift and full of life to one, lucky enough to fall through the ice."

and sometimes a weed . . . blooms as a rose.

yet aren't we always alone somehow . . . wishing we weren't?

Nice work, Snow.

Sighhh, in all it's sadness and hope, I will read this over and over again.
Into my library it goes.

I'll be back!

I get so tired of trying to hide behind the words that this time, I just bled all over the page...
Thank you all for the comments, they have touched my heart more than you know.

Always,
