In Your Poetic Mind

     (Here) I stand
     As autumn leaves, begin
     To fall, thinking about
The first time I saw your
     Smile, all the colors
     Of you come flooding
     Back to my me

     For a moment this world
Is all I know, no longer
     Do I feel lost

     As I

     See the world through your
     Eyes, every part of me
     Believes you are standing
There open arms with the music
     Playing as you dance
This soul, you know I cannot
     Let go

     The shadows come again
     To stay, they hang
     Heavy in the air,
     One place of stillness
     Evident in these tears,
I shout the words in my mind
Words that I whisper in the night

     Words that are silent
     What eyes cannot see

     The heart feels

and you will already know I felt every word of this ...
and I thank you for the whispers it allows me to hear...
and for the sheer beauty of this poems grace as well.

Great writing.  I think we've all been here at one time or another.  You said it well.
