I did'nt mean to scare you
For it's the last thing I wanted to do
But in the midst of what you've been through
I can understand,
You being afraid of what is true

I feel like my heart is quicksand
You are sinking in,
While all along I've held your hand
Preparing you for the long journey
Wanting to be your one and only

I do know how to step aside
If your still not sure
You want to go along for the ride
But our freindship will remain
Losing it will be insane

The memories in my mind i will recall
They are not just writings on the wall
And in my heart you'll always stay
Your memories I will replay, day by day

If I have misread between the lines
I will be looking for some different signs
Wishing all along that I am wrong
And hope to once again hear our song

Just hold the hand, given time love may grow. If it doesn't it's always nice to have a friend.
