Down Along the Cove

I met you
down along the cove
and that's where
I first kissed you
in that lovely cove.
I was just lying on my back,
eyes closed,
enjoying the sound of the trade winds
blowing thru the palm trees.
Totally relaxed,
yet emotionally spent.
That's when you came to me.
When I first heard your voice
I thought you were just a dream.
As I slowly opened my eyes
I expected to see only palm fronds
blowing in the breeze.
Yet it was you.
And such a lovely treat
for my eyes to behold.
Let me say you were a sight
for sore eyes.
And as I would discover
a blessing to this lonely heart.
It was funny how the first words from
your mouth were so comforting to me.
You said "Do you need some company?"
And you stood there for a moment gazing down
at me while I gathered my thoughts.
Somehow in my eyes you could read the
message from my heart.
In the cove we talked and we kissed.
Then you said I'm going for a swim.
Wanna come with?
You know there's nothing quite as relaxing
as a swim in a cove when you jump into that warm
water with a lovely lady sans all her clothes.
And I thought the kissing was fun
when in fact the fun had just begun
in the cove.

You've painted such a wonderfully visual encounter James, and set the mood of this scene perfectly.  Very nicely written, much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit
