This fresh spring morning finds me loving you
As early on summer's day when bees hum
The birds are chirping praising God's grace
Doves are cooing as they bond with new mates

There you are, your smile abloom and sparkling
Like leaves of sky, your eyes look up at me
As we lay beneath this flowering plum
I feel my heart may burst it is so full

Sun's rays filter on us adding your glow
Ringlets of your hair invite my fingers
A warm summer breeze joins in my caress
I cannot but feel - place - time, foreordained

Omar Khayyan in his best verse could not
Offer feelings more splendidly than this

The first duty of love is to listen.

Beautifully written. Spring does have a way of bringing out the deepest feelings of love.

Beautiful, simply beautiful from your pen Mr. Yeats. I know a woman who would really love this too. Excellent.

As I woke up this morning too...birds were singing their love songs. Like Romeo & Juliet, singing off key..no it is the lark, no it is the sparrow. Either way, each singing to their own song.  Keep etching in time, my friend.

Wilfred,
How do you do it? You take normal words, mix them together in the melting pot of your mind and create something sensual and yet innocent, all with the turn of a phrase.

Very nice, very nice.  Tender tribute to the relationship with that special someone.

Maybe because of your comments on "The Earth Moved," while I was reading this, I found myself wondering if Wilmington might be about the same parallel as my town.  I'm probably at about the 40th latitude.  I don't know if it's because thinking maybe the season of the year might be hitting us similarly or what, but I find myself terribly curious.

Thank you so much - I wish I could come up with fresh original words - of thanks -

VAS -
I think I'm below your parallel = but I've been to the Seattle area in March - when they were enjoying mnicer warmer weather than we enjoy in April/May - so  - go figure
