Hello dear friends....once again, just stopping in for a brief appearance. Still no internet access :[ but hopefully that problem will be resolved soon. I am recoving from surgery and just relaxing and enjoying my time off work, actually feeling better than I have for some time now. I miss you all and you are never far from my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs
Ruth

Do You Remember?

Do you remember
soft rolling fields laced with flowers
where we lay on blankets
gazing at cotton candy clouds
and dreaming of life
outside that dusty run down town

Do you remember
yellow cab lined streets in New York City
where we choked in smog filled air
outside of our cramped apartment
and tried to make a living
being someone we weren't
as we tried desperately
to find ourselves

Do you remember
pink magnolia lined bays
where we shrimped off barnacle encrusted hulls
cursing the rain as it fell in sheets
and laughing as we fell
wet and tired into each others arms

Do you remember
that hot August night
when you softly kissed my lips one last time
then slowly walked away
as I tried to seperate you from me
and learned once more where you ended
and I began

And tonight as I sit here
I wonder...
Do you remember?

Being new, shall say your poem is a memory to treasure. Adventurous love. shared growing pains, & shared blame. Really good poem
