the way I see it, darlin’,
we’ve been given a second chance at a beautiful sunset...
foolishly, I almost put my camera away
and ignored the splendor of the astonishing hues...

don’t turn your back on this, my love...
the clouds above have formed perfectly just for our viewing...
unfortunately, I, too, turned my head yesterday
and missed the gift of extraordinary color...

look into my eyes, precious one...
the stars above will, again, wait until we’ve indulged...
hopefully, this time we will realize
and make sure we take that ride of endless possibilities...

lie back and relax, baby,
we’ve been given a second chance at a beautiful sunset...
for always, keep your eyes open
and swim in the assurance of a million boundless sunrises.

-kh 03/26/01

to be with you...
I've tried to hide my passion,
but it's just no use...
piece by piece I lose it
when you walk into the room...

SnowPants~
The title grabbed me and pulled me
into such a lovely offering from your pen.

Remarkably beautiful read, poet.
