I feel as a puppet
With some master pulling strings
I have no choice in the matter
He makes me do everything

My voice is small
And one of many countless
There is no knowledge
Of how I can surmount this

My actions are wasted
Tugging at the cords that bind
Dancing to another’s tune
Of music that should be mine

If I shout aloud in a forest
Will I be heard?
Speaking out in this way,
Am I even being heard?

As the saying goes: "not seeing the forest for the trees", sometimes we may not be seen, but I believe we are always in some way heard. I like your thought in this one.
