Between the Lines

Nothing is forever,
except the end of time

I have lost something precious.
I barely held it in my hands
a gift, a treasure, a one of a kind,
a moment...

shared intimacies
a gift of heart, to lose that moment
when all else has disappeared
but the two of you...

words, phrases
there are none
for my feelings today

inside an emptiness, an aloneness
unattached to my thoughts
I watch from the window, a sun rising
clouds drifting, birds singing

....and no words come

Easter prayers for new gifts to be just behind that next door opened....perhaps, though, do not look for the obvious...treasures do come in the most unexpected manner...

Hi Wynter,

Some times silence brings many answers to the mind when it seems there are none, May your day be a beautiful one,

"inside an emptiness, an aloneness
unattached to my thoughts"

Such sorrow when the words will not come, and yet, you've portrayed the emotions in this piece so tenderly ... your words flowed beautifully Maureen.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Yes, there sometimes are no words but Maureen, this is truly sad and (((hug)))))
