          Yesteryear

The windless winds of yesteryear
Let phantoms to my resting ear.
The sounds of rain, of times redone,
The pain, the tears, the times of fun.

They touch me like a second life.
They move me like a second wife.
They fill me full of hopes and fear,
As much today as yesteryear.

The windless wind left hosts of sounds,
Of happy laughters ghostly rounds,
Embrace me in a shawl of space.
A spectral space and timeless place.

A place where tolls a timeless bell
Of places of love I used to dwell.
Of candy sweet and bitter lies,
Forever and it never dies.

A windless wind of touchless awe,
Eternity's forevermore.

So this was what rung my chimes last night....your windless winds of touchless awe....

I am so glad, then, that they woke me up so I could hear you float by....

I really like these verses, Seymour... such poignancy! Well done!
