rain

rain, rain, rain
i really don’t mind
makes for a perfect day
gives me an excuse
to lie in bed
watch old movies, write down my thoughts
think of you and think of her
she still loves me, I don’t know about you
where do I go from here
maybe I will love her back
the way that she deserves
i’ve not a clue what to do about you
maybe I should just let
the rain wash you away

Speak when you are angry--and you'll make the best speech you'll ever regret...Laurence J. Peter

I've always found that the rain can wash more than just the land. . .

excellent. . .

my stars, the tales that are woven into this, amazing, filled with conundrum, joy and eminent decision.

when I saw the title, I thought, goodness, is it raining all over the U.S. today?  So many poems on rain have come to the board, it's a veritable shower of blessings!

So THAT is where my storm came from last night!  Cut that out!  I mean, rain is one thing, but these gully-washers have to QUIT!

If only the rain really could wash them away . . .
Raining here too . . . a day to keep busy and try not to think about those other things.

JLR-
I feel for you, what a dilemma. Perhaps, rain will wash the whole thing away and you can start out a new page.(Of course, along with beautiful poems)

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.
