Oh Lord of my creation
Yea, I know that You exist
For all the souls that ever lived
Not one that You have missed

A firm touch upon my heart
Or a word that turned my ear
How can one not know You are
When it's shone that You are here

I would not renounce my Lord
For you died upon the cross
So now we know what we did
We may grieve upon our loss

But You have washed away our sins
With the blood that You have shed
And any time that we have want
You will become our broken bread

If I could let go in need
And release my worldly things
You would lead me stronger forth
To meet the King of kings

The poorest man on the earth
Is rich with the Mighty Prince
The man who lived by his gold
Has not seen his fortune since

God made plans for our new lives
From that time when we're conceived
All He wants from each of us
To know that we all believed

I bared the cross at Calvary
Then was nailed upon the wood
Redeemed with heart hanging low
From that birth I understood

Walk with God in our darkness
Raise the lights where you may roam
Spread the word of Jesus Christ
Only then, He'll take us home

Gnashing teeth do not amaze
Nor those with beating breasts
God will know whose heart is true
And so that will be our test

When I think I know my God
To ignore His plans for me
Would I follow my own path
That right now I cannot see

Remind me that my time is short
I won't know when it is due
Surrender now I am redeemed
And forever live with You

Thank you for lifting my spirits early this morning.  I have been so discouraged and this just made me realize I am not alone!  Thank you, Walt.

Walt~
What a refreshing write to begin the day.

'Remind me my time is short
I won’t know when it is due'

All He asks is that we believe each day -
for each day could be His due day.

Thank you, Walt~

Well done!

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.  Col 3:1-2

Live for love. Without love, you don't live.

Certainly a write that speaks to the heart and soul. These two lines were particularly significant to me: "If I could let go in need And release my worldly things" Good job!

"I am not now that which I have been."

This whole poem is magnifico.  However, my fav parts are in the last 2 Tony Stanzas.

"...Would I follow my own path
That right now I cannot see..."

"...Remind me that my time is short
I won't know when it is due...."

This poem tells me that sometimes life is right in front of me but I just cant touch it.  If you live life like its about to end, then your life will begin.  Very explosive poem and I thank you.
