Airplanes, internet and eye to eye

She thought whoever invented airplanes
must have also created this
www dot unbearable dot distanceinbetween
and now they are making a killing
at the expense all of us mismatched
soul mates who just happen to click on
their life long wished-for love who lives
only a few
thousand light years away.

Softly she touches the keys
and you come to life-fingertipped
love at first sight.
Distance lends to honesty
and honesty breathes life.
Keyboards strike a match
setting the needing to touch aflame.
She knows there is no distance far enough
to douse this fire but from
out of no where a
how could my whole life have been a lie
almost chokes the fire but
give true love a chance adds tinder
and a plane ticket materializes
in the smoke.

Meticulously armored in a
do or die outfit and escorted down the ramp
by shapely legs that belie
insides made of jello,
she glides out of the plane into the waiting
intensity of his gaze.
Breathe deep, she thinks,
there is no power down button now,
remember
this is real
no more www dot anything.
A few more steps,
a connection is made across the skies,
eye to eye.

ok we can blame this one on delirium...lol...with the days I have had lately, I am due a dream or 2

WOW! I thought this was amazing....some people really get to have this....lucky for me, mine was closer that a plane ride!

I think there are more people who can relate to this then they are willing to admit.

A great write not just because of the subject, but because there lies so many truths in this.
