Apartment Sounds Some sounds seem less apart Than others. Like steam heat when it telegraphs The approach of winter. Or when the icemaker in 4-A's refrigerator Chatters in its sleep. Mostly, though, what keeps me awake Is the thunder a slip makes As it floats to the carpet Of the flight attendant's flat One floor up. RMW |

Paula...Laughing...given the fact that it's been 82 years since I last lived in an apartment, I hope to shout it's a loud sound. No offense to anyone I hope. The sounds kinda....just took over. Bob |

RMW~ My, but this is marvelously done. How delicately phrased ... the 'sound' is punctuated by the imagery. Wonderful ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

WOW...I've been absent from passions for a bit here and have missed your debut. I happened upon your work from the great piece written as a reply to "Blemish" and simply had to look up some more of your stuff. Much talent rings in your words |

Love these sounds. Thanks! Speak when you are angry--and you'll make the best speech you'll ever regret...Laurence J. Peter |

Mike...Laughing. The only ladders I know about go by the name of "Jacobs"...used when pilots board (or at least try to board) ships on a bar. Such a highway to heaven. Thanks much. Bob Marge...Thank you. Any chance you are born are a born and raised Floridian? Bob Hoot Owl .... Thank you. As for "A Swan in Yellowstone After the Fire"....if I could, it is a mirror I would give to everyone. Bob JLR .... Thank you. I've been enjoying your posts...though have not always commented. Please pardon. Bob Sea .... Had I done that, it would have been a case of "The Seven Year Itch"...all thumbs trying to get the cap off the champagne bottle...and finally falling from the piano bench. Thank you. Bob |

Very good, Robere, loved how you weaved subtle sensuality into your poem... *wink* -Tier |
