And So Again...

Once again I missed your call,
Or maybe there was none at all.
For message, I have not received
And into sleep, I now shall grieve,

To carry with me, miles I rode,
The clouded skies, the silence flowed,
As all alone, except for tunes
That sang my thoughts, in phase of moon.

Tempted I, to tempt you so,
But neither here nor there, did show.
I watched those walking towards me, each
And not a one was within reach.

It wasn't you that came to me.
My wishes were just fantasy.
And so again, I take to night
To dream again, tomorrow's plight.

~Wynter

And does it seem
the lonesome launch
into the dream
comes not again
up with the steam
to turn the milk
into the cream?

But try we must
when late at night
in dream to trust
we gather up
the wish robust
if not in love
at least for lust.

dream on, Wynter,

Thank goodness for our dreams. At least for a few hours we're not alone.
Loved the flow of your poem.

You always give me a stir when I read your poems, and this was no exception. I loved the dream imagery.
