(it started as a thought on the bus stop. then one, but finished as three. enjoy!)

As change rains down, they
hide beneath their 'umbrellas'
scared to face the storm.

For they don't get that
the only constant is change.
So they run, and hide

under 'umbrellas',
anywhere they feel it's safe.
Where change can't get them.

I think this would be classified as a senryu since it doesn't contain much about NATURE. Well, I didn't see much of it anyway....but yea....I did like this. I thought the message nicely written. Sometimes change is a scary thing. I know i've been guilty of fearing it here and there.
Nicely done on this one.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

thank you both for responding to my poem. I think i understand the difference between a haiku, and senryu. Lets hope i remember it. Im glad you both enjoyed my work. thanx again!!
