The man of my dreams.....

I seen him once on a movie screen
In a heated sultry romance scene
Romeo and Juliet through a glass
I could see my knight at last
He came riding to me in my dreams
With stars and shining moonbeams
He wore a suit of armor gleaming dew
His hair wisping in the sky so blue

This man made my heart truly sing
For my dreams, I wished for him to bring
To make my world, HIS world, someday
For this treasure, what would I pay?
To be in his arms of strength and power
I would give up my last worldly hour
How do I make my dream reality
Without loosing my mind to senility?

My fantasy would bring me down
In my own salty tears to drown
The truth would surely soon set in
I was caught in a lie of torrid sin
No knight was ever really there
No knight would ever truly care

So my dream, a nightmare would be
That knight, I would never ever see

So many times our dreams turn out what we are longing for in reality. Sometimes dreams are our escape. And then again, sometimes dreams come true. You'll find your own knight one day.

Mine was Julia roberts...I gave up on the woman of my dreams so I could have the real thing...why wait forever for someone you will never have when you can have someone right now...James
