As I drive through the night
Illuminated by headlight
There's a man by the street
With no shadow 'neath his feet

Driving on a little more
Making sure I've locked all doors
There's a man by the street
With no shadow 'neath his feet

Five miles further in the night
I feel his mal'veint sight
By the man by the street
With no shadow 'neath his feet

The man by the street
Is in my backseat

I'm the man by the street
With a corpse in the backseat
And I'm sure he'll be a treat
When I need something to eat

Oh, won't it be a treat
When I'm found in your backseat

*inspired by an original Twilight Zone episode whose name eludes me...*

Glad ya'll enjoyed the ride. You should hear the music I have for this one...it's very cheerful and happy, well suited for hopscotch or jump rope. And Doreen, someday, when I'm up North, I'll sing it for ya.

Driving midst the shadows,
Yet casting not into tomorrow,
There’s a ghost inside the post,
Put the body back in the trunk,
Before overtaken by the funk,
And you’ll shout when it taps to get out.
