Well I've been down before Held back behind closed doors Well I've seen love a time or two And if it ever comes my way I'll know just what to do Grab ahold and never let it go I'm going to keep it with me Burry it deep within my soul Another time it became too clear I had to leave too soon and watch it disappear Time went, I had to go to war Carried a gun,fired it on a alien shore Made my trip back across the sea Came back to my home What I thought was my family But now I'm here and they all seem so strange Like Boy, Where you been and what the hell was your name I think I knew but it's too late now I should have stayed there And made a life somehow |
