Poisonus barbs pierce her fragile heart,
The sarcasm drips languidly down her entire being,
It mingles with the colours of her aura,
So her essence can no longer be seen.

Shadows of fear and loathing,
Chase each other across a pain twisted face,
Living or existing this way,
Is not HER disgrace.

Emotional abuse less known,
Tis something so hard to prove,
For there are no visible wounds or scarring,
Yet there is so much to lose.

A joyous being others treasured,
She was so much fun to have around,
Now she is a mere shadow of her former self,
Guilt, anger and fear abound.

That blessed angel,
Too many times she was forced from grace,
And no one sees or acknowledges her tears,
As they meander down her face.

She builds a cairn in a corner of her backyard,
A place that she is reborn,
Her pain is taken away,
Then she is not quite forlorn.

She then creates her circle,
Lights the candles with such familiarity,
Asks for safety and blessings,
From the God and Goddess who's spirits are free.

She talks with her Goddess,
Asks for her courage and compassion,
Pleads for peace and happiness,
In her usual fashion.

She believes, so she shall conquer,
With her beloved Goddess by her side,
She knows her world will become filled with love,
No longer a place where she needs to hide.

She closes the circle,
Thanks the God and Goddess for their love,
'With harm to none, so shall it be!'
Today her souls soars on the wings of peace and love.

Very poignant lines here, Isis.

May the angel find hope and cry no more.
Thanks.

Interesting piece. In the beginning of this piece, it reminded me of Emily Dickson and the lifestyle she led. Keep it up as always.
