You threw me out
to that great big ocean
it was sink or swim
If a lesson was what you wanted
for me
then why didn't you tell
why didn't you make me Sea?

When I was gloomin' and doomin'
Of course,
from the hurt I had only imagined
you were zoomin' off
to your next idea
of how you were going to teach me.
Why didn't you make me Sea?
