Fast asleep and asleep at last
Awaked in the dimness his heart pounds fast

Demons all around, that awful feel
“Just in your mind” they can’t know he made a fateful deal

This world’s against him, no way out or place to run
His real terror, he chose a damned reality; he’s the only one

Fear out of control, desperate, horrid screams
Locked door flies open, he’s told “it’s the dreams”

Appeasing him with light again does no good to prove
Screams “you can’t see them, so quick they move!”

Salvation in a quick sharp prick, horror beginning to subside
Quickly, demons cower from his baron room and bedside

Pricked once again, no longer filled with fear
For a few more hours, Lucifer’s pets disappear

He’s not really the only one; Lucifer has a deal for all others too
Simple really; accept willingly is all you have to do:

Close your eyes now, dream; see the whole World yours to take
Only stipulation, until your end of the deal is met, its best you should never, ever wake

then everything is
our thoughts and feelings
