The bottle of Martini and the cigarette are my companion
They fill my empty spirit and heart
They tell me words that
I never heard coming out of your mouth
I speak the words instead of you
Only my voice can take me to where I have always wanted to be
Right where you are
Next to your body
Next to your heart
I fill the bottle as it goes empty
I don’t want to stop the words coming out of the mouth, out of the heart
Is it me or you that said the last words?
I do not recall anymore;
But somehow it is me that cannot let go
Am I stupid, am I so dumb?
Last night I cried, it made me feel good
Just let me live alone
With my bottle of Martini and the cigarettes
Until I die
Until I fill the last bottle and say no words at all.

Very cool!  Love the cigarette as companion, I know the feeling (even tho I quit 5 years ago) and I remember just sitting with my cigarette and letting the words flow onto the page.  Good job!

It is indeed a good poem.  It feels so lonely too.

I don't know if today is a good day, or if yesterday was, or if tomorrow will be, but I'd like to think so.

Hmm... I liked An intoxicated mind always tells us what we want to hear (or see), huh? I appreciated the verse and mix of words
