"Ever shot the heads off roses?"
she nestles closer to the frame.
Drunk in Rio, reading Rome.
All her actions, stone and flame.

Proffered foil in Madrid,
though I prefer cuts of sea.
Let the salt, let it come ... "let the salt
build a salt cemetary."

Big purple lights of dawn.
Large canvas bruising dark.
She dances waves, the morning's beams.
The headlights point, twin blades, twin sparks.

The kiss then of a sudden thunder.
Feel the water, find the under.
Big purple lights of tearing sky.
Rain the color of her eyes.

Questions low for questions high.
Swimming home to you; I try.

...........

Feel the water, find the under.
Big purple lights of tearing sky.
Rain the color of her eyes.
just these two... and you have a poem in and of itself...

enjoyed my friend.. your unique visions are always a pleasure to contemplate

Thank you, Ron. Inspired by many things. I'm a little more scarce than I used to be, believe it or not. Looots of work.

Thanks for taking the time to write.

And let's not forget this...

"The kiss then of a sudden thunder.
Feel the water, find the under.
Big purple lights of tearing sky.
Rain the color of her eyes."

could also stand alone.

Very nice, squirrel dude!

Alrighty, just don't go scaring a poor woman like that.

By the way, this was a great write. Done pure squirrely style.
