There are so many ghosts on main street.
Ghosts of dreams that passed away long ago.
Digging deep through the cobwebs of my mind,
I think about the days spent with you.
You reading Sylvia Plath
and me trying to find salvation any way I could.

There are so many ghosts in this town.
Ghosts that seem to call out to me.
It's unknown to me whether they're taunting me,
reminiscing, or calling me to join them.
Sometimes just driving past a streetlight
can cause a flood of memories.

There are so many ghosts on main street.
But sometimes I need to feel them.
Sometimes I travel out of my way
just to go down main street.
Maybe I'm still trying to find salvation any way I can.

Title caught my eye.

"There are so many ghosts on main street.
But sometimes I need to feel them.
Sometimes I travel out of my way
just to go down main street.
Maybe I'm still trying to find salvation any way I can."

Facing the ghosts, quite possibly the only way to find peace.

And make us loose the good we oft might win
By fearing to attempt.

This had a cold and painful effect on me. Too much of this I've seen...too much. But still, never the regret. Truly excellent poem!

This had the feeling of film noir. I saw trench coats, fedoras and little pill-box hats with veils all in black and white.
Nice piece.

I agree with the princess...I think my worst fear is that I will live to regret.
